Place To Visit in Perak

I would like to list a few place of interest in Perak. Some of them are:-

(a) Kellie's Castle

Kellie's Castle is located near Batu Gajah, and is about 20 minutes of drive from Ipoh. The unfinished, ruined castle was built by a Scottish gentleman name William Kellie Smith. According to the local people, William built the castle as a gift for his wife of as a home for his son. If you are interest on visiting this place, I just want to remind you one thing. Since this is an old castle, rumor said that this castle is haunted. Someone had told me a story that happened to her when she was exploring inside the castle. She said there was a picture of a man hanging on the wall. She told me that as she walked passed the hanging picture, she was 100% sure that the man eyes was following her movement. If you are afraid of ghost, don't go alone. You have been warned!! ^_^

(b) The Leaning Towel

The leaning tower of Teluk Intan is the Malaysia equivalent of the world famous Leaning Tower Of Pisa in Italy. It is located in the center of Teluk Intan. It is 25.5 meters tall. It was built for two main reason. One of it was to store water for the drought season and the other reason was as a preparation in case of fire. The reason why the tower was leaning toward the southwest  are because of the soft ground in which it was built. The weight of the water that was stored inside it also the reason for the tower to lean.

(c) Lost World Of Tambun (LWOT)

LWOT is mostly a water theme park. They have the wave pool, a lazy river, an a couple of giant water slide such as Cliff Racer and Tube Raiders. There are also some land based amusement rides like the Giddy galleon, Storm Rider, Dragon Flight, and a carousel. Another features of LWOT are their hot spring, pools, and a steam cave, a place for you to enjoy the health-giving benefits of natural hot spring water. They also have the Petting Zoo. petting Zoo will let you to interact with the animals. Some of the animals are rabbits, snakes, and many more.

(d) Bukit Merah Laketown

This place is quite similar to LWOT because they also have water theme park. To me Bukit Merah is bigger compare to LWOT because beside the water theme park, they also have Eco Park, Orang Utan Island, Water Chalet , skycycle and many more. Bukit Merah provide lots of outdoor activities for visitors like kayaking, camping, fishing, jungle tracking, and biking. A great place for outdoor activities lover.

(e) Royal Belum State Park

Covering more than 300000 hectares of tropical rainforest, this 130 million plus-years old rainforest is offering visitors the nature at its purest and unspoiled state. This is the home of more than 3000 species  of plants and animals species including 14 of the world's most threatened mammals like the Sumatra Rhino, Malaysian Tiger, Malaysian Sunbear and Malayan Tapir. There's also a Orang Asli village located near it that can be visited.
